Prices & Payment
Prices
My prices from 1st March 2024 are:
£30 per hour for proofreading;
£35 per hour for copyediting.
These prices are based on the
minimum rates recommended by the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP).
Many customers want a total price for their project. I provide free short sample edits and assessments of the work needed.
Based on these, I can provide a rate per thousand words or a flat project rate as an alternative to my hourly rate - whichever you prefer.
I take pride in my approachability, in customer satisfaction and in my honest work ethic.
I work with clear and straightforward terms and conditions and in line with the CIEP's Code of Practice.
Please contact me for a friendly discussion of your project's needs, with no obligation or pressure to proceed.

Payment
I ask new customers for payment in advance of work commencing.
For long-term and regular customers, I create bespoke payment arrangements.
I offer a choice of payment methods:
Bank Transfer: This is my preferred method of payment. An invoice including my bank details will be sent to you upon agreement of a price and timescale for the work. Work will commence once the transfer is confirmed.
Paypal / Debit or Credit Card: A Paypal invoice will be sent to your email address. This can be paid either through your own Paypal account or using a debit or credit card.
